Product Features
This Adseal product offers excellent resistance to UV rays. It can therefore be used both outdoors and indoors without problems. It is a non-corrosive product with low volatile organic compounds (VOC). It gives off very little odor during vulcanization and it does not oxidize metal. When fully cured, the sealant withstands permanent temperatures ranging from -40 ° C to 232 ° C (-40 ° F to 450 ° F) and intermittent temperatures ranging from -51 ° C to 260 ° C (-60 ° F at 500 ° F). The Adseal silicone sealant meets ASTM C920, S, NS, Class 50, NT, M, GA, O, AAMA 802 and 805 standards. This product cannot be painted.
Adseal DWS 4580 Series Sealant Application
Due to its vulcanization system in contact with moisture, the depth of the bead must not exceed 1/2″, otherwise the sealer will not be able to vulcanize completely. For applications where the bead depth must exceed 1/2″, we recommend a two-component silicone. The minimum size of a movement or sealing joint should be 1/4″ x 1/4″.
