Step 4:

All that is left now is to mount the larger panels all along the sides of the door and window covers, or essentially any openings for that matter, on the entire floor of the house. Aluminum siding is usually sturdy enough by itself, but by adding the larger panels over the smaller ones, you are not only protecting the walls of your home from any type of damage, but you are also making it easier to remove individual pieces that must be repaired in the future, rather than taking apart each piece of siding that you have fastened to the wall.

Aluminum siding installation is all about balance. Exterior siding relies on it and you will achieve this by giving your aluminum panels protected ends by adding a metal strip around the sides. This metal strip that will be secured around the sides of the paneling helps to seal the paneling off from water and debris, and will help to ensure the overall stability that you are able to maintain with your aluminum siding. After the metal strip has been secured into place, you will finish by hanging the rest of the panels that you have already added screws to on the rest of the house. If your house happens not to have a lower lip, all you need to do is nail the lower panel into place by using another metal strip and nail gun. This strip will not only serve as the lower lip, but will also help to protect the inside of the paneling, along with the wall that it is covering, from any type of damage.

 Step 5:

You will repeat this all over the house until the entirety of every wall has been covered with aluminum siding. Afterwards, all you need to do is add trimming such as such as j trims, mouldings, exterior corners and you are good to go. It is always a good idea to add a layer of aluminum trimming to the edges of your panels by having someone with you that can hold the pane while you add the trim. You can either do this during installation or you can perform this step after you have completed your installation process by trailing the trim. This is essentially all that is needed and as you go you will see that it is not nearly as stressful as you may have originally thought.

Conclusion:

Once you have completed your installation process, keep in mind that proper maintenance, as well as washing and cleaning can help to keep your aluminum siding from wearing down due to natural stress, and weather.

It’s recommended to inspect your exterior siding once a year to make sure no panel is broken so your house will stay sealled and waterproof.
